Message from Morton

Winter has definitely hit us this week but while the temps may be frigid, the days are getting longer, and there is always plenty to enjoy at the library!

Here at Morton we’ve always been very concerned with community. This is not idle talk, your input and your ideas are what make this institution part of all of our lives.

On that note, this weekend the Rhinebeck Grange and the Rhinecliff Fire Department will be putting on their third Rhinecliff Winter Bonfire.  Dress warmly and join in the fun to celebrate Winter around a bonfire made from local holiday trees.  Bring a veggie to add to the Stone Soup and enjoy soup and hot cocoa on-site! Musicians welcome!  The fun begins at 3:00 and goes until 7:00, or until the fire burns down!

And if you are willing to share your talents, we are still looking for visual artists for the art opening on February 28th and for performers and food creators for Friday, March 6th.

Come for the books and stay for the family feeling!
