Among the great estates, fine restaurants, and first-class theatre, art, and music venues in the Hudson Valley there is another gem right here in Rhinecliff: the Morton Memorial Library and Community House.
Many wonderful things happen under the historic roof of OUR library. Lose yourself in the feel of a real book under the portraits of historical figures and local artifacts in our new reading room. Or, if you prefer, use the Mid-Hudson Library System’s Overdrive and receive your reading material electronically.
Morton Memorial Library and Community House offers patrons a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our staff is ready to help in any and every way. Our facility offers musical and artistic programs, movies, youth programs, the Sustainability Series, and most recently the Hudson Valley Architecture Photo Exhibit. Morton’s annual talent show, ARTalks, Mid-Hudson Classical Guitar Society, Lacan seminars, and acoustic nights are perfect ways to meet and catch up with friends who share similar interests.
Taxpayers, grants and special events comprise much of our funding, but we still need and rely on the generosity of our friends and neighbors to help us meet expenses, make improvements and keep this wonderful place running.
Please consider a donation to Morton at any time this season. We welcome a single gift or monthly contributions (and don’t forget matching donations). You can send a check or use a credit card through PayPal’s secure site, accessed at mortonrhinecliff.org.
Many thanks for your generosity and support for the Morton Memorial Library & Community House, your true local treasure.
