A Message from Morton

Happy Summer!
And what says summer more than plants? The Morton Seed Library is open to all and we are hoping to add to it by growing plants for seed. Please join us on Friday, June 22 at 5:00 for our “Meet the Plants” gardening session right here at Morton! We are starting beds at the library and are hoping that folks will come for the planting and then return for the gardening, and the other fun sessions in our Sustainability Series.

You will also find us at the “Making Peace with the Earth” event at Omega hosting a seed swap with SeedShed and Hudson Valley Seed Company.
If you are interested in attending Omega is offering discounted community passes. To RSVP for these low-cost community passes, please use this link and enter “The Morton Seed Library” in the discount code section.
Discounted passes will be awarded on a first come, first served basis as funding lasts. Please RSVP and register early to ensure you can take advantage of this opportunity.

So come out and be part of our seed saving endeavor, come for the jazz with Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett arranger Alex Smith on Saturday, for friend/neighbor/musician Matt Schrieber on the 28th or for any of our other amazing events taking place as we round out June!
