TUESDAY’S TIP
Cancelling Holds in the Online Public Access Catalog February 21, 2012
“If you never change your mind, why have one?” –Edward de Bono (Maltese, psychologist and writer)
I’ve also heard it’s a woman’s prerogative… but I’m all for equal rights! Go ahead, gentlemen, cancel your holds too…
How do I cancel a hold in the OPAC?
First, log into your account, using your patron barcode and PIN.
You should see all the items you have on hold at the bottom of the page.
Check the box to the left of each hold you would like to cancel.
Click “Update List” at the bottom
*NOTE: Pressing “Cancel All” deletes the entire holds list. Don’t worry though, you have the chance to press the “No” button on the next screen if you make that mistake.
On the next screen, select the “Yes” button to confirm that the holds chosen are those you wish to delete.
